Short synopsis: Thorvold, a feared commander in the Troll Army, has spent his life serving King Tarmek and fighting for his kingdom. Deep in a hidden forest, he encounters Sylvie, a fairy from a people who have been enemies of the trolls for generations. Their meeting brings two worlds with a long history of conflict unexpectedly together.

As ancient rivalries resurface and Thorvold is forced to confront the boundaries between loyalty, duty, and the unknown, a powerful story begins to unfold.

The film explores the power of inherited beliefs and the divisions that can survive for generations.

What happens when the person you are told to fear becomes someone you care about? Thorvold, a feared commander in the Troll Army, has spent his life serving King Tarmek and fighting for his kingdom.

Deep in a hidden forest, he encounters Sylvie, a fairy from a people who have been enemies of the trolls for generations. Their meeting brings two worlds with a long history of hatred unexpectedly together.

But beneath the fantasy lies a story about something deeply human: the things we often take for granted until we are forced to question what they truly mean.

What does it mean to love when love asks us to cross boundaries? What does faith mean when the future is uncertain? And what does loyalty truly require when duty and the heart no longer point in the same direction?

In a world increasingly shaped by screens, algorithms, instant communication and fleeting connections, qualities such as genuine love, faith, loyalty, trust and selfless devotion can sometimes feel increasingly rare. Yet these are the qualities that have always given human relationships their deepest meaning.

In my film A Troll Commander’s Oath, I used fantasy genre as a doorway into those timeless human values. Behind the trolls, fairies, kingdoms and ancient rivalries is a reflection of our own world  and a reminder that compassion, courage, loyalty and the willingness to stand by someone can be more powerful than any weapon.

This is a story about the goodness we are capable of finding in ourselves and in one another.

Because some things should never become obsolete.

Love. Faith. Loyalty. Trust. And the courage to remain true to what matters.

Some oaths are made to a kingdom.

Some are made to the heart.
