Why I Wrote The Dragon Graveyard
I wrote The Dragon Graveyard to explore the fear of the unknown, the consequences of disturbing what should remain buried, and the courage required to face forces beyond our understanding. Through the journey of five Viking survivors trapped on a mysterious island, I wanted to create a dark fantasy horror story that reminds us how fragile life can be when humanity encounters something it cannot control.
Beneath the horror lies a deeper message: the past never disappears simply because we choose to forget it, and some secrets carry consequences that reach far beyond those who uncover them.
The Moral of the Story
The moral of The Dragon Graveyard is that courage is not the absence of fear, but the willingness to face it when survival depends on it. The story also reminds us that curiosity without wisdom can be dangerous, that the actions of those who came before us can shape our destiny, and that survival often demands sacrifice, trust, and difficult choices.
Ultimately, the film asks a haunting question: when we awaken something ancient and beyond our control, will our courage be enough to save us?
